The best time to visit is between August and December, when wildlife is most abundant. In addition to elephants, the park is home to a variety of mammal and bird species, making a safari here an exciting and memorable experience.
Kaudulla Safari Tour Itinerary
- Join an early morning safari or evening safari at Kaudulla National Park.
- If you are going to visit the Early morning safari you can depart at 5:30 am from the accommodation.
- If you are going on an evening safari you can depart at 2:30 pm from the accommodation place.
- Explore the wild animal traveling in a 4WD open safari jeep through the National Park.
- You can experience a wonderful wildlife safari in Kaudulla National Park to visit the largest elephant gathering in Sri Lanka.
- Discover 3 hours inside the National park exploring different types of animals.
- The park is situated with a big reservoir that you can look for more wild elephants near.
- You will have the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat.
- Look out for wild Asian elephants, big crocodiles, spotted dears, wild boars, different types of species of foreign and endemic birds, and many more different types of animals.
- After finish your safari, you will drive back to the hotel at Sigiriya or Habarana.
